Find a cozy spot for a leisurely meal right on the beach, and let the wonderfully laidback vibe of Mirissa completely wash over you.

If your visit falls between November and April, prepare for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience: a whale-watching tour in Mirissa’s stunning azure waters! Spot majestic blue whales – the largest creatures on Earth – and playful dolphins against the endless backdrop of the Indian Ocean.
Outside of whale season, Mirissa still offers a fantastic array of water sports, from exhilarating snorkeling and surfing lessons to thrilling jet skiing. After a fulfilling day of sun, sea, and excitement, we’ll make our way inland to Tissamaharama, where a different kind of Sri Lankan wilderness awaits.
